On 20 April 2026, the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA), the Port of Los Angeles (POLA) and the Port of Long Beach (POLB), with the support of C40 Cities, renewed their Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on the Green and Digital Shipping Corridor (GDSC) for a further three years. The MOU was first signed on 24 April 2023.
The renewed MOU reaffirms the ports’ commitment to decarbonisation and digitalisation along the Trans-Pacific route, one of the world’s busiest container trade lanes, and supports efforts to strengthen supply chain resilience and energy security. The GDSC has transitioned from intent to implementation and is the foundation for greener maritime shipping.
This update highlights the key features of the renewed MOU and various initiatives undertaken since the GDSC’s launch.
