Smitha Menon Appointed to SIAC Specialist Panel of Arbitrators for Restructuring and Insolvency Disputes
01 Sep 2025Our Head of Restructuring & Insolvency and International Arbitration Practice partner, Smitha Menon, has been appointed to the Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC) Specialist Panel of Arbitrators for Restructuring and Insolvency Disputes.
The SIAC Specialist Panel of Arbitrators includes experts in fields such as energy, engineering, procurement, construction, intellectual property, and now restructuring and insolvency. The panel complements SIAC’s larger group of more than 400 arbitrators from across around 40 jurisdictions, with appointments based on relevant expertise and experience.
Smitha’s appointment recognises her extensive background in handling investment disputes that seek a re-ordering of the capital structure and exits for investors via share buyouts or corporate restructurings. Having served two terms on the ICC Court of Arbitration and currently serving as a Vice-President on the International Insolvency Institute, Smitha brings an awareness of the global developments in this space to the SIAC panel.
